Suggestions for

Corrections
If you notice errors in the Preliminary Edition, please let the author know by sending e-mail to precalculus@axler.net. He will then make the corrections in the manuscript, aiming for an error-free first edition to be published in October 2008. Here are the errors that have been reported so far through class-testing of the Preliminary Edition:
- On page 3, the figure titled "Integers on the real line" is missing the minus signs in front of -2 and -1.
- On page 8, six lines from the bottom, "This answer" should
be "The answer".
- On page 34, last line, "Hele" should be "Here".
- On page 78, two lines from the bottom of the solution to the top Example, "part (a)" should be "part (b)".
- On page 88, three lines below the box, "domain of f" should be "range of f".
- On page 102, line 11, "interest" should be "intersect".
- On page 132, the graph shown at the bottom of the page is on the interval [-5/6, 5/2], not the interval [-5/6, 5/3].
- On page 162, five lines from the bottom, "1.6" should be "-1.6".
- On page 180, first line of the solution to Exercise 23, "numerator" should be "denominator".
- On page 226, third line of the Example, "earned per 7%" should be "earned 7%".
- On page 227, two lines above the box, "this will happened"
should be "this will happen".

On page 248, Question 31, "become" should be "to become".

On page 252, fourth line from the bottom, "(1,3)" should be "(5,9)".

On page 291 in the solution to Exercise 33, "f(e4x)" should be "f(e5x)".

On page 314, Question 22, a close parentheses should be inserted before the period.

On page 335, second line in the "Special Points on the Unit Circle" subsection, "corresponding" should be "corresponds".

On page 491, third line, "with the origin" should be "with the positive horizontal axis".

On page 498, first paragraph, "as a sequence" should be "is a sequence".

On page 515 in the Example, the denominator "1 - 2/3" should be "1 - 1/3", which changes the answer from "5 - 5/320" to "5/2 - 5/(2 . 320)".
